The Mortar Monkey is a tower in Thermoxin's Bloons Tower Defense 7, returning from Bloons Tower Defense 6. It functions the same as its Bloons TD 6 counterpart; however, it can now pop camo bloons by default.

x/4/x - [Artillery Battery] Three barrels for triple the pain! Heavy Shells buffs are also slightly increased. Ability: Mortar shells bombard the screen for 5 seconds, popping every bloon 1 time per second, and immobilizing all bloons. ($8,000)
x/5/x - [Pop and Awe] Gains three more barrels, which doubles attack speed. Ability: Rains explosions over the whole screen, popping and immobilizing all Bloons for 15 seconds. ($30,000)

x/x/2 - [Burny Stuff] Sets bloons on fire with each hit. ($500)
x/x/3 - [Signal Flare] Camo and Regrow bloons hit by flares lose their properties permanently. ($700)

x/x/5 - [Blooncineration] Superhot burny stuff burns through 5 layers of Bloon each time, and deals massive damage to MOAB-class bloons. Also strips properties off of ZOMGs and DDTs. ($40,000)

Differences from BTD6[]
- The Big One price decreased
- The Biggest One deals a flat 40 damage (effectively a nerf, as any non-super Ceramics were instakilled anyways), price decreased
- Heavy Shells no longer deals extra damage to Lead bloons, but deals even more extra damage to MOAB-class bloons
- Artillery Battery gains the BTD5 ability, price increased
- Pop and Awe attacks faster, price decreased
- Burny Stuff is now applied on hit
- Signal Flare removes Regrow, and is applied on hit
- Shattering Shells price decreased
- Blooncineration strips properties off of ZOMGs and DDTs, price decreased
