The Heli Pilot returns in BTD7: Planet of the Apes. This mobile tower shoots 2 darts from its guns. Its upgrade paths focus on either offense, support, or stall.

Apache Prime
The Apache Prime leaves most Bloons wishing they'd never been inflated.
Projectiles are no longer spawned slightly in front of the helicopter; instead they originate from the center of the helicopter's hitbox and have twice the projectile speed of BTD6's Apache Prime. All attacks affect all types of Bloon except Ghosts. Bleeding DoT now does 5 damage per 0.5 seconds for 6 seconds.

Omega Apache
"This mighty copter is my church. When I command your surrender, it is with 3 billion voices. When I shoot a bullet to destroy your MOABs, it is with three billion guns. When I stare into your eyes and shatter your Health. And break your rubber. It is with six billion eyes."
Adds in 2 more machine guns, and all plasma guns shoot rays of Omega Beams which inflict 22 damage every 0.02 seconds, have 525 pierce, seek aggressively, and trigger 75-pierce 530-damage explosions every time it hits a Bloon. Missiles are fired twice as fast and each missile explosion inflicts 2,500 damage with 1,000 pierce. Movement speed increased to 100 units per second. Bleeding DoT now does 200 + 0.6*sqrt(target RBE) damage per 0.5 seconds for 6 seconds.

Quantum Integration Copter
Utilizes quantum physics to clone towers onto its deck and apply permanent boosts.
The tower gains 2 new abilities: Schrödinger's Clone and Heisenbuff, described below.
Schrödinger's Clone - The QIC clones a tower. Clones appear on the Chinook's deck and move with it. Can only clone 8 towers per round and cannot clone Tier 6 Towers, Heroes, or anything that won't fit on the Carrier Flagship.
Heisenbuff - The QIC permanently boosts a Tower, giving it +75% damage, +8 pierce, +50% health, and +50% range. Both abilities have a 45-second cooldown because of how overpowered this can be. Each buff can only be applied once per tower. Movement speed increased to 135 units per second. Downdraft slows Hyper Ceramics by 60% instead of 30%. Marine's machine gun now fires a volley of 3 antimatter bullets every 0.01 seconds, with each projectile inflicting 80 + 0.008*sqrt(target RBE) damage with 130 pierce.

MOAB Shove
Can collide with and shove up to 5 MOAB-Class Bloons at once, reversing or slowing their movement. Shove is amplified by Bigger Jets and IFR upgrades.
MOAB Shove can push back MOABs by 40%, stop the movement of BFBs, and slow ZOMG and DDT movement speed by 67%.

Comanche Defense
3 more Comanches permanently accompany the main Heli. If one is destroyed, it will be replaced by another after a 4-second cooldown. Each Comanche can inherit Alchemist buffs. Push pierce increased to 20 per heli, and each heli can now push back BFBs by 33%.

Comanche Commander
The Heli's weapons are upgraded for more killing power (darts and missiles from main heli and minis each inflict +5 damage against MOAB-Class Bloons), and now has 4 Comanches at its disposal instead of 3. All 5 Comanches (main heli + 4 minis) can now stop the movement of ZOMGs and DDTs.

The Four Horsemen
Apocalypse shall rain from the air with fire and blood. It shall strike the Bloonian legions on the earth with the fury of millions, and it shall immolate the Bloons until the funeral pyres of their charred rubber remains illuminate the moonless night.
Instead of standard comanches, four killer helicopters - no, HELLcopters - spawn: Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. Each of them shoot twice as fast and fire a spread of 3 darts from each gun which splits into 5 more darts on impact, with each dart inflicting 6 Armor-Piercing damage. Missile explosions inflict 100 Armor-Piercing damage with 150 pierce, plus 850 extra AP damage to MOAB-Class Bloons.
Not only that, but the four hellcopters possess different deadly properties:

  • Pestilence (White) - All of Pestilence's attacks leave a deadly, unremovable Poison effect that inflicts 35 Armor-Piercing Damage per every 0.12 seconds to Bloons.
  • War (Red) - War's attacks will trigger 72-pierce, 80-AP-damage incendiary explosions on Bloons, applying a 12-second Burning DoT which inflicts 40 + 0.6% RBE Armor-Piercing damage per second. Towers within a large radius of War gain a 50% boost to damage, pierce, and fire rate.
  • Famine (Green) - Bloons hit by Famine's missiles suffer the Healing Disable effect for 15 seconds, and upon death they cannot spawn children, the latter effect which affects Bloons up to BAD tier.
  • Death (Black) - Death's rotors are edged with giant, pitch-black scythe-blades that spin around in extremely high velocities, inflicting 70 Armor-Piercing Damage to up to 900 Bloons within 50 units of range every 0.05 seconds. Bloons killed by these rotors heal Death and all towers within a 60-unit range through LIFEDRAIN.

These hellcopters and the main Heli have 80 push pierce, and can push back MOAB-Class Bloons below BAD-tier by 50%, keep BADs in place, and slow down most BAD-parents by 80%. X-Variant generic MOAB-Class Bloons are slowed down by 33%.
