The Hover Monkey is a new tower that become available in Chapter 1 of The Doomsday Campaign. Armed with "splodey" darts that can pop five bloons in a very small area at a time, these sky-oriented monkeys look down upon all bloons.
Hover Monkeys work in a similar fashion to the Radadactyl, in which, that they'll rotate around a "base." Bases are capable of moving from their current placement to another location, Hover Monkeys will still be able to continue to rotate around their base and attack when possible. Unlike the Radadactyl, they do not disappear after a certain number of pops but they do have a limit of how many shots they can give per rotation cycle. They can be upgraded to carry more shots, have faster rotation cycles, or even have their mobile bases travel faster.

Hover Monkey throws all his darts at once causing a straight line of explosions to occur through the tracks, depending on the number of darts it is currently carrying before rotation reload, and traveling the direction where the Hover Monkey threw his Packed Darts.

Hover Monkeys receive equipment that allow them to increase rotation speed thus decreasing reload times.
Rotation cycle speed: 2.25 seconds per rotation.
