Bloons Conception Wiki

In BTD7: The Solar Sanctum, attacks can inflict certain Status Effects on units. Some status effects can happen to both Towers and Bloons. Others can only apply to one side.

Here is a list of status effects that can be encountered in TSS, separated by which factions an effect can be applied to.

General Effects[]

Positive[]

Strengthened[]

The unit receives an amplification to their damage by a certain percentage or a certain number over a specific amount of time. Some instances of this buff can end prematurely depending on how many shots are fired while the buff is active. This is indicated by red arrows pointing north, moving up on the unit.

Overclocked[]

The unit receives a boost to their attack speed by a certain percentage. For towers, this increases their fire-rate. For Bloons, this decreases the cooldown of their attacks. For Monkey Villages, this increases their radius instead. This is indicated with a green aura pulsating below the unit.

Regeneration[]

The unit receives a set amount of health per a set amount of time, lasting for a set duration. This is indicated by a green plus sign symbol placed on the center of the unit.

Fortification[]

The unit receives general resistance in the form of either Percentage Defense or Absolute Defense, over a set amount of time. This is indicated with a symbol of a shield adorned on the unit.

Elemental Fortification[]

The unit receives Elemental resistance to a certain element in the form of either Percentage Defense or Absolute Defense, over a determined interval. This is indicated with a symbol of a shield with the respective element embellished on it.

Vampirism[]

A unit affected by this status can heal itself by dealing damage with its attacks. The percentage of damage converted into health varies. This is indicated with a blood-red cloudy aura surrounding the affected unit.

Elemental Pierce[]

A unit affected by this status is given a temporary Elemental Bypass effect to their attacks. Like permanent Elemental Bypass, this temporary effect's magnitude varies.

Invincibility[]

A unit affected by this status cannot be affected by any attacks whatsoever. This effect is indicated with the unit flashing through various colors of the rainbow spectrum.

Berserk[]

A more extreme version of Strengthened where a unit's damage is amplified by a certain number or percentage, in exchange for receiving more damage by a certain number or percentage. This is indicated by the unit gaining a more reddish hue, and a cross-popping vein appearing on the top-right of the unit. If the affected unit is a Monkey, steam is pumped out from the ears during the duration of the effect.

Negative[]

Burning[]

A DOT effect where a unit receives Fire Damage over a specific rate and a specific duration. The damage infliced can be a specific number, or a percentage of the victim's health. This is indicated by the victim being on fire.

Poisoned[]

A DOT effect where a unit receives Poison Damage over a specific rate and a specific duration. Like Burning, the damage dealt can be a number or a percentage. For towers, this can only apply to sentient beings (like Dart Monkeys, but not Monkey Shacks). This is indicated by the victim having a purplish hue, as well as poison bubbles materializing from the victim.

Virus[]

A variation of the Poisoned effect where a unit with this effect can spread it to other units of their own side (i.e. Bloons can only spread it to other Bloons, and Monkeys can only spread it to other Monkeys). How many units can be affected, the radius of spread, and the spreading time varies.

Stunned[]

The victim is unable to attack or move for a given duration. This is indicated by yellow stars revolving around a victim.

Frozen[]

The victim is immobilized, unable to attack or move. However, this status effect gives a 100% Elemental Resistance to Sharp, Ice, and Water attacks.

Enfeebled[]

The victim deals less damage, determined by either a certain number or a certain percentage. This is indicated by purple arrows pointing south, moving down on the affected unit.

Vulnerability[]

The victim receives more damage from any damage source. The magnitude varies as well. This is indicated by a broken shield symbol emblazoned on the unit.

Elemental Breach[]

The victim's elemental resistance is deducted by a certain amount, whether it be a number or a percentage. This status effect can affect one resistance, or multiple. This is indicated by the symbol of the effected element, broken into two pieces, emblazoned on the unit.

Bloon-exclusive Effects[]

Positive[]

Aurae-Infused[]

This is an effect that only applies to Bloons with the Swordsman property. The Bloon's weapon is infused with energy extracted from Aurae Dust, doubling the attack damage of the sword, and increasing swing rate by 1.2x. This is indicated with the sword's blade glowing green.

Layer-Fix[]

Layer-Fix is an effect that allows Bloons to gain back layers by a certain magnitude (e.g. a magnitude of 3 will cause the Bloon to regenerate 3 layers that have been popped). This effect doesn't work on Bloons that haven't been popped yet, and it doesn't allow Bloons to regenerate back to a MOAB-Class Bloon.

Regrowth Bloons have this effect constantly at a magnitude of 1, happening every second.

Speed Up[]

The bloon moves faster depending on the percentage of the effect. This is indicated with the Bloon leaving a motion-blur effect, which becomes more dramatic and apparent the higher this effect's percentage is. The Bloon also sparkles as well.

Negative[]

Glued[]

The bloon is slowed down by a certain percentage. This is indicated with a glob of glue on the head.

Corrosion[]

A DOT effect where a Bloon receives Poison damage over a specific rate and a specific duration. Unlike Poisoned, however, Corrosion's Poison damage has 100% Elemental Bypass, meaning that any elemental Poison resistances won't work against this DOT effect.

There isn't any clear indication for this effect, however.

Golden[]

If the bloon affected is popped, the player receives extra cash depending on a set multiplier. Rubber Alchemist (0/0/4) Scientist Monkey, for example, inflicts this status effect with a 2x multiplier. The effect is indicated with the Bloon having a yellowish tinge on it.

Tower-exclusive Effects[]

Positive[]

Übercharged[]

After many scientific endeavors, finally, Monkeyhood shall now witness the exemplary embodiment of over-healing. Monkeys with this effect are immune to any damage, deal 1 extra layer of damage, and increases attack speed by 10%. Note that this only applies to sentient Towers, which are basically ones that are Monkeys. This is indicated by the Monkey glowing red, with an orange lens-flare on their eyes.

Shrouded[]

A status effect that is exclusive to Assassin Agents. While this effect is taking place, attacks cannot target the Assassin Agent. The only attacks that can hit Assassin Agents in this mode are indirect blasts from AOE attacks. Assassin Agents also gain 50% Percentage Defense while Shrouded. This is indicated with the Assassin Agent being concealed in dark fog.

Incendiary[]

Allows the tower's projectiles to explode, dealing Explosion damage equal to the projectile's raw attack, at a blast radius similar to BTD5's Splodey Darts. This effect cannot be applied to towers with no projectile, or Bomb Cannons. This effect is indicated with a bomb icon on the top-right.

Reflective[]

A special type of shield that allows Towers to reflect projectiles fired from Enemy Bloons. Reflective Shields have damage thresholds that determine what projectiles can be reflected depending on damage. Said threshold varies depending on instances of the buff. This effect is indicated by a translucent orange circle enveloping the affected tower, which becomes more opaque the higher the damage threshold.

Negative[]

Bleeding[]

A DOT effect where a Monkey loses a pre-determined amount of health over a specific rate and at a specific duration. Unlike other DOT effects, the damage dealt isn't in any element, so it ignores elemental resistances. This effect also can only be applied to sentient towers, so Monkeys. This effect is indicated by a flesh wound on the monkey, with blood dripping from it.

Confused[]

Another status effect that can only be applied to sentient towers. The Monkey attacks random targets, completely ignoring its targeting priority. In very rare cases, this debuff can be considered a buff to your tower instead. This effect is indicated in a similar vein to Stunned, albeit with rubber ducks instead of stars.
